Edge Preparation

We carry out edge preparation for welding with a Y-seam or an X-seam for thicknesses 6-15 mm. We can deal with bevel angles 30-50° and a minimum square edge of 1 mm.

Bevelling of square edges along the length of the piece is carried out in our Pullmax bevelling machine. Bevelling of circular stretches and of short ends is currently carried out manually using a plasma cutter or hand-held bevellers.

It is our ambition to invest in machines that can carry out these operations more automatically, and we are currently evaluating alternatives.
